Admissions
Admissions
Any Indiana student in kindergarten through 12th grade is eligible to attend MCCSC Online. The student does not need to live within Monroe County or the MCCSC boundaries. Enrollment is limited in this pilot year of the program and applications will be processed in the order they are received.
Any student seeking admission to MCCSC Online must meet all the residency, academic, age, immunization, and other eligibility requirements for admission as set forth in State Law, Board Policy, and administrative guidelines.
Important Things to Consider:
- Students in kindergarten through 11th grade must commit to enrolling in MCCSC Online for at least one full semester.
- Due to graduation requirements, we require that high school seniors commit to MCCSC Online for a full year.
- The enrollment application will remain open 10 school days after the start of each semester to allow for student move-ins and scheduling requirements.
- Admission outside of this timeline will be reviewed on a case by case basis. Contact the principal of MCCSC Online, Angie Evans, for these requests by emailing MCCSCOnline@mccsc.edu. Students may be asked to wait until the following semester to enroll so they can remain on track with courses and graduation requirements.
- All families are required by state law to attend an orientation for MCCSC Online.
- Students are required to come in-person to an MCCSC school for state-mandated testing. (See assessment section of this handbook for more information.)
- High school seniors who are enrolled in MCCSC online will receive an MCCSC diploma from The Academy of Science and Entrepreneurship.
Any student transferring from outside of MCCSC schools must complete paperwork at their previous school to formally withdraw. In addition, MCCSC Online will request records from the previous school or homeschool.
Application
Families interested in enrolling in MCCSC Online should complete the application available at the MCCSC Online website.
Orientation
Indiana Code (§ 20-19-9-3) requires students attending an online school and their parent/guardian to attend orientation prior to participating in the online program. Information about orientation dates and location will be shared with students once they have been admitted to MCCSC Online.
