Students enrolled in MCCSC Online who have legal settlement within Monroe County Community School Corporation (MCCSC) boundaries will be issued either an iPad or a Windows Laptop to complete their online coursework. These devices need to be maintained and will be required for onsite assessments. Students may opt to use their own device instead. Please note that MCCSC does have a filtering system to monitor appropriate use of electronic devices; personal devices do not have this same system. MCCSC will only assist with technical issues of school-issued devices, not personal devices.
Students without legal settlement are asked to use their own device for daily work and will be provided a device for onsite assessments.
Families will need to pick up and return their devices from The Academy of Science and Entrepreneurship, located at 444 S. Patterson Drive, in Bloomington, Indiana. Dates for device pick up will be shared with families.

Please be sure to include your name, an email address, and a description of the problem. MCCSC technology support staff are onsite from 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM daily. Edmentum, the parent company for EdOptions Academy, offers tutoring and support services to families from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (CST).

The Monroe County Community School Corporation (MCCSC) provides learning devices to students for educational purposes, and students must adhere to the MCCSC Responsible Use Policy. These devices, including tablets and iPads, are loaned to students and must be treated with care, used for school-related activities only, and returned at the end of each school year or upon withdrawal from the school. Any damage, loss, or malfunction should be reported immediately to school authorities, and students are responsible for maintaining the device in good condition. Inappropriate use may result in consequences such as limitation of use, suspension, or expulsion. Parents/guardians are encouraged to supervise their child's use of the device at home and consider optional accidental damage insurance. For detailed guidelines and policies, please refer to the full MCCSC Student Learning Device Agreement Policy 2521.01.

In accordance with Indiana Senate Enrolled Act No. 78, the MCCSC prohibits the use of wireless communication devices during the school day. SEA 78 defines a “wireless communication device” as any portable wireless device that has the capability to provide voice, messaging, or other data communication between two or more parties, including a cellular telephone, tablet computer, laptop computer, or gaming device, and/or smartwatches or any similar device that is connected to a cell telephone, a cell tower, or the Internet. SEA 78 defines “school day” as the entirety of the time a student is present on school property for a student instructional day (as defined in IC 20-30-2-2).
Students may use their devices before and after school and on school buses at the discretion of the driver. Any violation of this policy may result in disciplinary action and/or confiscation of the device. For more details, please refer to Policy 5136.
