Purpose of Teacher Evaluation

The intention of the Teacher Appraisal Plan for the Monroe County Community School Corporation is to support student success by designing an appraisal system that will drive excellence in teaching through collaboration, professional development, accountability, and respect for educators as self-directed learners.  Beyond meeting the requirements of the law, this system is designed to support the district’s mission, to gather data to inform practice for the continued growth and development of our teachers and to ensure a culture of professionalism.
