MCCSC Superintendent Dr. Jeff Hauswald Announces Administrative Changes
(Bloomington, IN.) – Earlier today, Superintendent of Monroe County Community School Corporation, Dr. Jeff Hauswald, announced the appointment of Mrs. Lisa Roberts to the Principal position at Rogers Elementary School. The appointment will begin with the 2022-2023 school year. Currently, Mrs. Roberts is serving as Principal at Grandview Elementary School.
In making the announcement, Superintendent Hauswald said, “I appreciate the leadership experience Mrs. Roberts provides to MCCSC. In accepting the retirement notification of former Rogers Elementary School Principal Mr. Mark Conrad, Mrs. Roberts shared a long-held interest in serving as Principal at Rogers Elementary School. However, she did not want to leave her current position mid-year. Fortunately, Mrs. Marti Colglazer was willing to serve in an interim capacity during the spring semester of 2022 to allow Mrs. Roberts to be appointed the Principal at Rogers Elementary School without leaving her current position mid-year.
Mrs. Roberts has served as an Elementary teacher at Lakeview Elementary for 15 years and recently the Principal at Grandview for the last 8 years. Mrs. Roberts stated, “I am truly thankful for the years I have spent with the students, families, faculty, and staff at Grandview Elementary School. It has been a wonderful growing experience over the last eight years. I am excited to begin a new chapter at Rogers Elementary. I can't wait to work with the wonderful teachers, staff, families, and students. Go Rockets!”
The transfer will create an administrative vacancy for the Principal position at Grandview Elementary School.
Additionally, MCCSC has received a resignation from Ms. Eve Robertson, Principal at Clear Creek Elementary School. Ms. Robertson started at Clear Creek as Assistant Principal in 2017 and became Principal in 2018. In her resignation Ms. Robertson expressed a desire to stay with MCCSC in a non-administrative capacity. Ms. Robertson stated, “I find great joy serving the Clear Creek staff, students, and community. As I reflect over the last five years as principal, I am grateful for all the opportunities and challenges I have experienced that have helped me grow both professionally and personally.”
Also today, MCCSC received the resignation of Mr. Chris Wilkins, Principal at Binford Elementary School. Mr. Wilkins has served as Principal at Binford Elementary School since 2018. Mr. Wilkins’ resignation stated that he has accepted a Principal position in California where his family would be moving at the conclusion of the 2021-2022 school year. “My family and I are extremely grateful for the support and community bonds we have established through my years at Binford. Being able to work with our students, staff and families has been a blessing each day! I will truly miss everyone! We have accomplished many amazing things in my time as Principal at Binford, and I know this will continue for years to come. Binford is in a great position for continued success due in part to the great teachers and community!”
All three elementary principal vacancies (i.e. Grandview Elementary, Clear Creek Elementary, and Binford Elementary) will be posted by the end of the week and a search will begin for these positions. MCCSC district officials hope to bring a recommendation for these positions to the MCCSC Board of School Trustees at the May 26, 2021 regular meeting.
