Students 12 years and older are now eligible for the
COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine.
The Pfizer vaccine is now authorized by the CDC and FDA for everyone 12 years and older. Appointments are available now at IU Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall and can be scheduled via ourshot.in.gov or by calling 211. Detailed information about what to expect during your vaccine appointment at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall is available online here.
For students under 18, a parent/guardian should complete the consent form during the scheduling and registration process. If the consent is completed ahead of time, students age 16 and above may go to the vaccine appointment alone. If not, you will need to go to the appointment with your student to give consent on-site. A parent/guardian must go to the vaccine appointment with students age 12 to 15.
The COVID-19 vaccine is safe, free and one of the most effective ways to protect your student and those around you. If you need transportation to your vaccine appointment, IU Health is providing free rides to any vaccine site in Indiana. Call 1-888-IUHEALTH and choose option 9.
