After years of hard work by so many individuals and the help from numerous donors; our dream has become a reality!
The innovative mobile STEM Lab is unlike any other. It will provide equitable access to STEAM and Computer Science education to all Pre K-6th grade students. It will travel to all MCCSC Elementary schools twice a year, providing robotics and engineering lessons to all students that encourage collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Classroom teachers help facilitate lessons and have the option to check out materials for the follow up lessons. A few interesting features: tables and bench seating for teachers to hold instruction, black counter tops to resemble a science lab, white cabinets are dry erase so students can make notes while working or teachers can write where materials are located, there is a wheel chair lift so all students can access the lab, the floor is a made of a non-slip dark rubber for better traction, the bus is wifi capable for students to use iPads while working, and solar panels on top of the bus for energy efficiency. We can't wait to see what our students accomplish with this amazing resource.
Thank you to our donors who helped make this dream a reality!
