MCCSC and FMCCS Hold 3rd Annual GEMS Conference


On Saturday, March 23rd, 2019, the 3rd Annual Girls in Engineering, Math, and Science Conference was hosted by the Monroe County Community School Corporation and the Foundation for Monroe County Community Schools at Bloomington High School North. The day started with a Career Expo at 8:00 a.m., allowing girls and their families to explore and learn more about STEM career opportunities.


After the Career Expo girls will be divided into small groups to work with female experts in STEM education and industry. These small groups participated in five hands-on activities in the fields of engineering design, chemistry, biology, forensic science, technology, and math. The topics and presenters are below.
