Two MCCSC Students Awarded Prestigious Lilly Scholarship


Congratulations to Calvin Prenkert of Bloomington High School South (top) and Christian Gettelfinger of Bloomington High School North (bottom) for being selected as Monroe County's two Lilly Endowment Community Scholars for 2019! The Community Foundation of Bloomington and Monroe County surprised these outstanding high school seniors with news of this award and full-tuition scholarships at their schools.


This prestigious and highly competitive award provides a four-year, full tuition scholarship to pursue baccalaureate degrees at colleges or universities in Indiana. The scholarship also includes up to $900 annually for required textbooks and equipment. In selecting the recipients for the Monroe County Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship, consideration is given to student activities and achievements, community and civic service, academic performance, and leadership potential.
