Bloomington South Dance Marathon

Students from both South and North gathered together for the kids (FTK!) on Saturday, April 11, 2015 for South’s 10th Dance Marathon.  Over 1,000 students met families from Riley, heard wonderful stories and celebrated the year-long effort to raise money for Riley Children’s Hospital.  The night had several amazing moments aside from the heart-stopping stories of the many families who spoke.  South’s own Cameron Bland, who is a cancer survivor and a Riley patient, was recognized with a Red Wagon from Riley, which is used by patients instead of wheelchairs.  Cameron has raised over $20,000 these last two years.

DM sponsor Joe Doyle was also recognized for his 10 years of service to Dance Marathon with a Red Wagon in his name.  The entire organization was recognized with the dedication of a room at Riley sponsored by South/North Dance Marathon for the combined fundraising of over $500,000.  And the highlight of the evening was hosting the numbers that read, $122,112.85 FTK!
The DM team would like to thank everyone in the community who supports this wonderful cause.
