Colin Prince, Batchelor alumnus and current Kiwanis Key Club District Governor, joined Miss Kiwanis Balloon Fest 2018 Braxton Kennedy Hiser and South Central Indiana Kiwanis President Vanessa McClary to present Batchelor with 150 books to distribute to students.
South Central Indiana Kiwanis President Vanessa McClary, Braxton, and our librarian, Jaime Burkhart, met earlier this spring and brainstormed how the organization could support the love of reading for Bulldogs. The Kiwanis Balloon Fest, held annually in September, raises money for Riley Hospital, The Boys and Girls Club, and community projects such as this.
With this SCI Kiwanis purchase for Batchelor, students will have the opportunity to take a book home on the last day of school to kick off their summer reading.
MCCSC values the diversity in our schools and community. All students’ experiences and perspectives are assets.
