Items to Leave at Home

We need your help ensuring students are adhering to our policy of not bringing toys, cards etc. to school. While there are occasions when a teacher may allow this for a special occasion (earned classroom reward, show-and-tell etc.), these times are exceptions to the norm and will be communicated to you in writing from your student's teacher.

As you are likely aware, we do have a Caught Ya Cash Cart with small items available for purchase with Caught Ya Cash students earn for being respectful, responsible and/or ready. These items should immediately go into the student's back-pack after purchase.

Please know that we do incorporate fun and high interest activities throughout our day. However, items such as stuffed animals, other toys and trading cards create distractions and unnecessary conflict.

The first time a student is seen with an item that should not be at school, his/her teacher will confiscate the item and return it to the student at dismissal. The second time a student is seen with an unnecessary item/distraction, the item will be turned in to the office and held until a parent/guardian can come to school to retrieve it.

From our Student/Parent Handbook:

These items are not allowed at school.  If students bring them to school, we will hold them in the office until the end of the day.  If items are brought a second time, they will be kept until a parent can retrieve them.
