The Center for Language Technology at Indiana University is happy to announce the 2021 World Language Festival. WLF has been reimagined for 2021 into an online celebration of world languages and cultures, including a full day of synchronous live sessions and a collection of asynchronous lessons available from May through the end of 2021. We are reaching out to you in hope that you and your students would be interested in attending this much-anticipated event. It is a unique opportunity for you and your students to explore the many foreign language and culture programs that Indiana University has to offer.
Synchronous activities will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021, scheduled from 9:30 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. on via Zoom and an IU Expand course.
The event highlights IU’s rich language resources, and is open to Indiana elementary, middle and high school students, their instructors and parents, as well as university undergraduate and graduate students and community members.
Events include crash courses in various languages, hands-on culture workshops, a tongue-twister competition, coloring pages, exhibits from IU language programs, and more.
The festival is free, but registration is required. We are unable to directly contact your students, but it would be great if you could share the attached flyer with your students, their parents, and community members.
