    Reminder that school is not in session on Monday, January 15, to encourage students to engage in community service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr's Brithday. 


    2018-2019 Scheduling Information


    For incoming 7th graders and any other families interested in attending Jackson Creek starting with the 2018-2019 school year:


    Elective Night for 2018-2019 JCMS 7th graders will be held on Monday, January 22.

    All families with students who will be attending JCMS as 7th graders in August of 2018 are welcome and encouraged to attend. 

    5:00-5:30-Performances from our Band, Choir, and Orchestra programs

    5:30-Formal presentation begins in the auditorium

     The Scholastic Book Fair will be happening in the library and the JCMS Spirit Shop will be open with apparel items (t-shirts, long sleeves, etc.) for sale during the event.

    Please plan to arrive early as parking is limited due to construction.  



    For 7th graders currently attending JCMS: 

    JCMS Guidance Counselors will be visiting Math Classes on Tuesday, January 16 to discuss the scheduling process for next school year. Any questions should be directed to Guidance Counselors Mrs. Jaclyn Hardin jhardin@mccsc.edu or Mr. Matt Stanley mstanley@mccsc.edu


    For 8th graders transitioning to an MCCSC High School next year:

    The Academy of Science and Entreprenuership visited on Tuesday, January 9. For more information about The Academy, contact Principal Jessica Willis at jwillis@mccsc.edu or Guidance Counselor Keri Gross at kgross@mccsc.edu or call the school at (812) 330-2480. Shadowing opportunities at The Academy are available through Ms. Gross. 


    Bloomington High School South will be here on Wednesday, January 17 to meet with all 8th graders districted to go to South regarding class selection for next school year. South's incoming Freshmen Orientation Night is Tuesday, January 23, at 7:00 at South. This evening will give an introduction and overview of Bloomington High School South and the scheduling process. After the presentation, administrators, counselors and department chairpersons will be available for questions. For more information, call South at (812) 330-7714.


    Bloomington High School North will also be here on Wednesday, January 17 to meet with all 8th graders districted to go to North regarding class selection for next school year. North's incoming Frehmen Orientation Night is also Tuesday, January 23, at 6:30 at North. For more information, call North at (812) 330-7724.



    If you live outside the JCMS district but wish to attend JCMS or if you live in the JCMS district and wish to attend Batchelor or Tri North, you may submit a transfer request to your home districted school where your child will attend in 7th or 8th grade. Transfer requests will be reviewed by the middle school principals the week prior to Spring Break. You are encouraged to attend information nights and submit schedule requests for both your home and desired school in the case that the transfer is not approved. 

    For transfer requests regarding high school, the form should be filled out and submitted to the student's home-districted high school for review by the high school principals.
