Narrative of the Marlin School Community:
Marlin Elementary is attractively located in a countryside setting approximately one and one-half miles north of downtown Bloomington. It is located on a 12 acre tract of rolling and flat fields bordered by woods, large pines, and grassy farmland. The limestone building was built in 1959 and was expanded in 1965. The building currently houses Kindergarten to Sixth grade with an enrollment of about 200 students. Marlin is a community school that focuses on the individual needs of its students, while providing engaging and authentic learning experiences for students. Marlin has a growing and developing project-based learning initiative.
