    Dear Lakeview family,

On behalf of the staff and myself, welcome to Lakeview Elementary!

The opportunity to begin my fourth school year as the instructional leader of such a highly reputable school is truly a blessing.  I plan to continue the traditions that have been established at the school and to work collaboratively with staff, students, parents, community and business partners to continue the success Lakeview has worked so hard to achieve.

We are happy to have our students returning to school and we want to extend a special welcome to the students and families who are joining our neighborhood.   Our community of learners is made up of outstanding students, an expert and dedicated staff of caring professionals, active and involved parents and a supportive community. We are committed to working together toward the success of all of the children at Lakeview Elementary.

We want your child to be happy and successful at Lakeview Elementary and believe that you play a key role. That role is to continuously show interest in and support for your child. The child who knows that his or her family is interested in and supports the school program will almost always have fewer problems in school and will enjoy greater success.

At school, we create a safe environment where courtesy and kindness prevail and where there is respect for differences in other people, customs and cultures.  We want our students to work hard individually and as a classroom community to achieve an environment that assists all to be successful.  We have developed our Lakeview CORE program to help foster that positive environment.  CORE stands for Community, Order, Respect, and Excellence and they are the cornerstones of our beliefs.

Together we form a strong partnership to ensure that all Lakeview Elementary students receive an exceptional education. I encourage you to participate in school activities and special occasions as well as volunteer in your child’s classroom as your schedule allows.  I look forward to continuing to work with you this school year and many school years to come.
