Lakeview Elementary is a special place with warm and friendly teachers, students, parents, and staff, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be your principal. I believe in working collaboratively with staff, students, parents, and community partners in order to continue the success Lakeview Elementary has worked so hard to achieve over the years. Through this collaboration, I believe we will keep moving our students and school forward, as we navigate our way through this ever changing world.
Our school is made up of outstanding students in grades Pre-K-6. Our faculty and staff are dedicated, caring professionals, who love and support one another as both, friends and colleagues. Lakeview is also very lucky to have a fabulous PTO who plan and organize fun activites and events. They are an open, approachable, creative, dedicated, and fun group of parents who would love to have you join them. They are committed to working together toward the success of all of the children at Lakeview Elementary.
Our school is committed to creating a safe environment for all students and staff, where courtesy and kindness prevail, and where there is respect for differences in other people, customs and cultures. We want our students to work hard individually and as a classroom community to achieve an environment where everyone feels valued, and believes they can be successful. We have developed our Lakeview PBIS (Positive Behavior Supports) program to help foster a safe and positive learning environment. At Lakeview Elementary we work to strengthen our CORE. CORE stands for Community, Order, Respect, and Excellence. These are the values that we stand behind and cornerstones of our beliefs. In addition to our district adopted SEL (social emotional learning) curriuculm, we focus on one the of CORE values each of the four grading periods. Classroom lessons and CORE Cash are used throughout the school year to introduce, review, and reinforce these values.
As parents and educators, we must form a strong partnership to ensure that all of our Lakeview Elementary students receive an exceptional education. I encourage you to participate in school activities and special occasions, as well as volunteer in your child’s classroom if your schedule allows. I look forward to getting to know you this school year and many school years to come. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at (812) 824-7061 ext. 53538 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
