    In this course you will gain foundation-level knowledge and skills necessary to work successfully in PC support. As the starting point for a career in information technology, it will help you gain competence in areas such as installation, preventive maintenance, networking, security, and troubleshooting.
     
    Upon successful completion of this program, you may sit for the A+ certification exams.

    Administrative Assistant Summer 2018
     

    In this class, you will learn to perform the duties of an administrative assistant and/or office secretary. Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification provides you with the foundation of knowledge needed to succeed in environments that require the use of computers and electronic communication.

     
    You will become proficient in three of the most commonly-used software programs among administrative assistants and secretaries:
        Word 2013
        Excel 2013
        PowerPoint 2013 
     
    A Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification helps validate proficiency in using Microsoft Office and meets the demand for the most up-to-date skills on the latest Microsoft technologies.

    ASE Brake Repair

     
    The NLCC is offering 48 hour automotive service course.  The class will cover ASE Maintenance and Light Repair with the goal of preparing for the ASE Certification test.
     
    All participants must bring their own PPE: safety glasses and gym shoes or work shoes.  No open toe shoes.  Mechanic's gloves are optional.

    Certified Clinical Medical Assistnat (CCMA)

     
     
    Education and Certification
     
    Clinical Medical Assistants should have or be pursuing a high
    school diploma or GED.
     
    Students who complete this comprehensive course will be
    prepared to sit for the National Health career Association (NHA)
    Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) national certification
    examination. The certification exam is part of the course.
     
    In addition to facilitating entry-level clinical medical assisting
    related positions, this course is ideal for students interested in
    pursuing a future formal Certified Medical Assistant (CMA),
    Nursing (LPN) or a Nursing (RN) program.
