The Summit Elementary School staff is committed to creating a loving and safe learning environment that promotes an atmosphere of mutual respect. Our purpose is to prepare students to make positive contributions to their community and world. Students will develop a personal passion and investment in their life and daily work as they use their minds creatively to become skillful problem solvers, good communicators, effective decision makers, and critical thinkers. Students will develop a desire for knowledge as they acquire essential academic skills in a meaningful context. Many opportunities are provided for students to learn the importance of cooperation, teamwork, mentoring, responsibility, and respect for everyone, so that they will be able to assume productive roles in our democratic society.
