Session Materials: Students and Educators Co-Developing a Racial Equity Policy

-
MCCSC believes in the power of student voice. Our innovative approach to incorporating student views into the development of policy content was unique in the area of school policy writing. In collaboration with The Midwest & Plains Equity Assistance (MAP) Center, our MCCSC Equity Project Team set out to design three student sessions that ensured a solid foundation and common language in order to move forward with the collaborative work of co-creating a draft racial equity policy. Over the course of these three sessions, students and staff alike took part in training and discussion that further cultivated a safe and inclusive environment for high-level engagement and growth.
