    Monroe County Road Closings & Construction for the Week of November 7, 2022

    ROAD CLOSINGS:

    • THE INTERSECTION OF SIMPSON CHAPEL ROAD & SAMPLE ROAD: This intersection will be closed Tuesday, September 6, 2022 – Tuesday, November 15, 2022 for road construction.
    • SAMPLE ROAD, from I-69 to Old SR 37 North: Sample Road remains closed in this area through November 23, 2022 for road construction. Detour uses Wayport Road, Ellis Road, Showers Road and Mel Currie Road, no through trucks. Trucks use I-69 to Walnut (Business 37 N) to Old SR 37 N.
    • SAMPLE ROAD, from I-69 to Simpson Chapel Road: Sample Road will be closed in this area August 22, 2022 – November 15, 2022 for road construction. Detour uses Simpson Chapel Road, Burma Road, Chambers Pike and Wayport Road. Note: If Bottom Road and/or Woodall Road flood, people north of Simpson Chapel will be able to use Dittemore Road. People south of Simpson Chapel will be able to use Lawson Road. Thru traffic will need to detour via I-69 to Sample Road or via Mt Tabor Road. The Sample Road north/south section (Lawson detour) will stay open until the intersection is complete at Bottom Road and Simpson Chapel Road.
    • SIMPSON CHAPEL ROAD, from Bottom Road to Sample Road: Simpson Chapel Road remains closed in this area through November 18, 2022 for road construction.Detour uses Bottom Road, Dittemore Road, Chambers Pike and Wayport Road.

    ROAD CONSTRUCTION:

    • BUSINESS 37 NORTH, just east of the I-69 Interchange, Bridge# 913: This area will be reduced to one lane on Monday, November 7, 2022 - Friday, November 18, 2022 for bridge joint replacement by Ragle Construction. A temporary traffic signal will be used to maintain one lane of traffic. Expect delays. To avoid delays, use the I-69/SR 46 interchange located south of the Walnut Street/College Street exit.
    • COMMODORE TRAIL, between Russell Road & Cul-de-sac: Monroe County MVH Crews will be full depth patching in this area on Monday, November 7, 2022 - Thursday, November 10, 2022, from 7am - 3pm. There will be lane restrictions with traffic control.
    • CRIDER DRIVE, between Ridgewood Drive & Killion Court: Monroe County SW Crews will be cleaning a culvert in this area on Monday, November 7, 2022, from 7am - 3pm. There will be lane restrictions with traffic control.
    • TOWER ROAD, between Ison Road & ECM: Monroe County SW Crews will be ditching in this area on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 - Thursday, November 10, 2022, from 7am - 3pm. There will be lane restrictions with traffic control.
