High School Program Information
Summer AcademiesMCCSC High School Summer Academies will begin on June 6th and end on July 14th. Classes will not be held on June 20th or July 4th. Summer Academies are held in-person at Bloomington High School North and Bloomington High School South. It will take place from 8am-11am.
This program supports incoming 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students with direct small group instruction to build essential skills in the areas of English language arts, mathematics, and social emotional learning (SEL) and life skills. Students will receive high school credit.
Summer SchoolMCCSC High School Summer School will begin on June 6th and end on July 14th. Classes will not be held on July 4th. Priority is given to seniors, and then juniors, sophomores, and finally freshmen.As in past years, work will be online using the PLATO program. All work may be completed at home, but pre- and post-tests must be completed at Bloomington High School South. Support will be available during 2-hour sessions daily (starting at 8:00am,10:00am, and 12:00pm). Students are encouraged to attend the sessions offered for additional individualized support.The focus of summer school is for students to recover credits that are needed for graduation. If your student is unsure of what credits they need to take, please contact their high school counselor who will review their transcript with them. This course prepares students to provide laptop technical support during the school year to students at BHSN and BHSS.
Career Pathways Agricultural ExperienceIncoming 10th-12th Grade Students
June 6-July 14 (No Friday Sessions & No Session on July 4th)
Career pathway offering project-based learning and leadership training. Students will coordinate with the teacher to complete a minimum of 80 hours on an approved project.

Virtual Summer Camp (Students Currently in Kindergarten through 8th Grades)
Keep your student learning this summer!
Virtual Summer Camp is an easy way for your child to stay sharp this summer from the comfort of your own home. This program is available to students currently in K-8th grades. Students will use the Edmentum Products: Study Island, MathSeeds, and/or Reading Eggs to complete reading and math activities. Students can work at their level and pace to fill gaps and enrich their learning. In addition, students can also work on grade level assignments to reinforce skills they have mastered throughout the year and prevent the summer skill slide. Your child can log on at any point throughout the week to complete these assignments or work on their personalized learning path in reading and/or math.

Edventure Camp

Welcome to MCCSC EdVenture Camp! Our camp has served the youth of Bloomington, IN for more than 20 years. Located centrally in Bloomington at Templeton Elementary, EdVenture Camp merges all the fun of day camp with engaging learning opportunities and a summer of friendships. Led by a superior set of staff who plan daily lessons and activities, EdVenture Camp promises a summer filled with adventure and possibility.

EDVENTURE CAMP IS NOT HELD ON FRIDAYS

Extended Day Afternoon: 3:00pm – 5:30pm
Extended Day is a full-time program. Fees for Extended Day Programs are not based on attendance and are billed in advance. Extended Day fees are due with your camp fees.

Breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack will be provided to all campers at no additional charge.
Medication-
All medication and documentation must be brought into the nurse’s office by the parent/guardian.
Is My Student Ready for Camp?- MCCSC EdVenture Camp is an inclusive summer camp program. In order to make camp a positive, safe, and successful experience for all campers, prior to registering, please determine whether your camper meets the following criteria:
- Student is age appropriate entering grades Kindergarten through 6th grade this fall.
- Student is able to participate in the camp program independently or with reasonable accommodations.
- Student is willing and able to follow direction and instruction from a staff person.
- Student is comfortable with, and able to safely interact in a group environment.
MCCSC EdVenture camp includes daily activities in small groups throughout Bloomington, as well as extended periods of time spent outdoors during the summer months. When selecting your summer camp for your child, please keep these activities in mind. It is our goal to serve every child, however, space is limited. Please contact kcrase@mccsc.edu prior to registering to discuss necessary accommodations.
Please note that for students needing accommodations that include additional staff support we require at least 2 weeks notice prior to the start of camp to make staffing arrangements.Tuition and FeesThere is a $35.00 non-refundable registration fee per family. This registration fee processes your enrollment, but does not guarantee a particular session of camp.
A $45.00 non-refundable/non-transferable deposit per child per week of camp is also due upon enrollment. This amount is applied directly to that week’s fee and reserves your spot.
If your payment is not received by the due date(s), your spot will be given to the next child on the waitlist. If canceling a session prior to the payment due date, please notify our office. Any received payments over and above the deposit with be applied to other session balances. Deposits are non-refundable/non-transferable.
Important Note: Failure to pay full session fee by deadline will result in forfeiture of deposit and spot.
