• Do you know a student who loves science, and is especially interested in DNA and genetics?

The DNA Learning Center offers exceptional summer programs for students from 5th through 11th grade on the campus of the University of Notre Dame.  All programs are held in an actual college lab and give students hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques.

The DNA Learning Center is a non-profit educational facility committed to offering a hands-on environment in which children and adults can explore their interest, knowledge and scientific skills, specifically in the ever expanding field of genetics. Some activities include ancestry, GMO testing, and more! Check out our website for more information: https://dnacenter.nd.edu/

Residential campers are housed in dormitories on the Notre Dame campus, with current Notre Dame students serving as camp counselors.  All lab activities are conducted by a member of the Notre Dame faculty.  No prerequisites are needed to attend camp, just an eagerness to learn more about genetics and laboratory techniques.

I have attached a poster that gives further information on the camp, how to register, etc.  If you would distribute them via email or post it in your science classes, it would be much appreciated. Financial Aid is available for need-based students;  Have them contact me directly if interested.

Let your students have the opportunity to delve head first in this STEM-related camp that is heavily focused on genetic exercises and experiments.

I am more than happy to answer any questions.

    Best regards,
