Bloomington High School North and Bloomington High School South received First-of-Its-Kind College Success Award.
Great Schools awarded Bloomington High School North and Bloomington High School South as 2018 College Success Award-winning high schools. Of the 814 schools across the country, 45 were from Indiana, and only MCCSC had 2-schools receiving this distinction. The College Success Award is a first-of-its-kind honor celebrating schools that excel in ensuring students prepare for college, enroll in college and succeed once they get there.
Award-winning schools have a successful track record of graduating students who later enroll in two- or four-year college, are ready for college-level coursework, and persist on to their second year, according to available data from the state. College and career-ready graduates are critical to fueling the U.S. economy, as 65 percent of jobs will require a postsecondary degree by 2020.
MCCSC prepares students not only to enroll in college but also to succeed once they get there. “We are honored that North and South received this award. It is yet another example of our schools providing a world-class education preparing graduates for success in college, careers and life.” said MCCSC Superintendent Dr. Judith A. DeMuth.
Bloomington High School North and South students participate in engaging, empowering and high quality educational opportunities that ensure their success. We celebrate MCCSC students, parents, teachers and staff members for their dedication in pursuit of our students’ success.
Parents and guardians should call the attendance line voicemail to report an absence, late arrival or early dismissal. If requesting an early dismissal for your student, please allow at least 45 minutes for passes to be delivered. Students will be unexcused unless a parent or guardian calls in to excuse their absence. The attendance line voicemail is 812.349.4704 and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Thank you.
