Virtual ENrich After-School Tutoring Program 2021-2022
The ENrich tutoring program is an extended English learning opportunity for English learners in grades K-8 in MCCSC. The ENrich tutoring program will be held online this year. The tutors in the program are Indiana University undergraduate and graduate students in the School of Education. The Virtual ENrich program will connect MCCSC English learners with IU service-learning students by providing live, virtual support.
The ENrich tutoring program is available for English learners in MCCSC through a service-learning partnership with the IU Service-Learning Program and the School of Education (E/M 300). We are very honored and excited to work with all service-learning tutors who may soon be educators in the field. We are committed to our students’ safety, extended English learning, meaningful cultural exchange, and positive service-learning experience through this extraordinary service-learning partnership of which we are proud.

Tutoring Session Activities
Students will be placed in a group with two or three other students, and each group will have at least two tutors. Groups will engage in casual conversation, cultural exchange, complete tutor-led activities, and students will be able to request homework help if needed.
Student Registration
Registration is based on the English learning needs of students and the ENL teacher's recommendation is required. The ENL teacher at each school will be inviting families. Families who would like their students to be a part of the ENrich tutoring program must complete the following requirements.
- Complete the ENrich Tutoring Student Registration Form (Online)
- Agree to the ENrich Family Code of Conduct at the end of the Student Registration Form
ENrich Family Code of Conduct
We understand that during the designated ENrich tutoring time, parents/guardians will stay in close physical proximity to the child participating in the tutoring, will help (whenever needed and possible) with any technical support the child might need.
Parents/guardians will also not interrupt the tutor and student working together, as this allows the child to form their relationship with their tutor. Parents may check-in with the tutors during the last five minutes of each tutoring session if they need to ask any questions.
Participating students will stay focused on their conversation and work with the tutor, will behave as if they were “at school” and do their personal best.
