Extended Day Program 2021-2022
The Monroe County Community School Corporation values the opportunity to enrich student learning by providing extended day opportunities. Through our before and after school activities we strive to extend student’s connection to school, augment student’s academic success, and increase student’s school attendance. The safe, hands-on learning environment promotes positive behavior and builds connections between school, family, and community.
With programs throughout all 14 MCCSC elementary schools, our staff provides a variety of experiences including homework support, hands-on inquiry-based lessons, and STEAM activities. Lessons are supported by the Indiana Out of School Program Standards and are enriched by the many community partnerships established to provide unique learning opportunities for participants.
In addition to education and experience requirements, all staff are First Aid/CPR/AED certified and have passed a state and local background check, drug screening, and TB test.
Contact us if you have questions or want to know more information about a program that we offer.
These decisions and changes were made with the health and safety of all of our students and staff in mind.
Extended Day will continue to be a full time program through the 2021-2022 school year.
- Morning programming will be available from 7:00 a.m. until the start of the school day, Monday through Friday, at a rate of $7.75 per day but billed the month prior to service.
- Afternoon programming will be available from the end of the school day until 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, at a rate of $8.75 per day but billed the month prior to service.
- For the purpose of planning and student safety, daily rates and drop-in care will not be available for the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 school years. We will bill based on the student days in each month. Here is a calendar with the student dates for each month listed. If you have further questions about the new billing process, please email sacinfo@mccsc.edu.
- An attendance policy will be enacted for the 2021-2022 school year. Students who receive the scholarship for free afternoons must attend the Extended Day Afternoon program at least 80% of the student days in the month. Failure to meet this requirement will result in a loss of scholarship and Extended Day tuition will be due in advance to continue enrollment.
