What is Dual Language Spanish Immersion?

In the Dual Language Immersion Program, students will learn the core curriculum through a language lens. Students will have instruction presented in both English and Spanish. At least 50% of instruction will be in Spanish. Students will learn Spanish through the content areas of Math, Science, and/or Social Studies. Students will also Spanish Language Arts during the Spanish half of the day. Students will learn English Language Arts, Math, Science, and/or Social Studies, and Special Area (Art, Music, PE, Library) during the English part of the day. Participates in the DLI Program will be able to:
- Listen, speak, read, and write in English and Spanish.
- Demonstrate positive cross-cultural attitudes and behaviors.
- Achieve at high academically in both English and Spanish.
Dual Language Spanish Immersion is currently offered in K-Grade 4. (2020-21)
