Virtual Summer Camp is an easy way for your child to stay sharp this summer from the comfort of your own home. This program is available to students currently in K-8th grades. Students will use the Edmentum Products: Exact Path, MathSeeds, and/or Reading Eggs to complete reading and math activities. Students can work at their level and pace to fill gaps and enrich their learning. In addition, students can also work on grade level assignments to reinforce skills they have mastered throughout the year and prevent the summer skill slide. Your child can log on at any point throughout the week to complete these assignments or work on their personalized learning path in reading and/or math.  You can register by clicking here.  If you have any questions, contact Marti Colglazier at mcolglaz@mccsc.edu

Bus Information:  Due to COVID restrictions, students are not allowed to ride any other bus except their own.

Please make sure your student is bringing a water bottle to school.  The drinking fountains are closed but water filling stations are available.  The students tend to get thirsty during the day, especially with warm weather coming.

It is that time of year where the students are filling out the 21st Century Scholars application.  You MUST fill out the application before the end of your 8th grade year.  There are two ways to apply: 1) Go to https://learnmoreindiana.org/scholars/enroll, read the directions under “Submit an Application” and get started; or 2) Pick up and return the application to the front office. Please direct any questions to Chastin Baker at chbaker@mccsc.edu or (812) 330-7763 ext. 51224.

Attention Parents:  The Department of Education is moving forward with the ILEARN standardized tests for this year.   Due to COVID restrictions we are implementing a new testing schedule and guidelines for our students.  Below you will find the schedule for both the in-person students and the Online Academy (OLA) students.   We still have the same expectation that all students will test so if they miss their scheduled test for any reason, we will do make up tests at a later date.

    In-Person Students

All tests will start at 8:30 AM

Please have your student to school on time.

COVID Protocol:  We are holding all testing after school hours to reduce the number of students in the building.   We will be using the Cafeteria with students spread out.  Masks will be worn by all students and adults and testing tables & desks will be cleaned before and after testing.

Students need to bring their iPad fully charged.   Students can bring their phone but will need to check it into the registration desk upon arrival (State guidelines require No cellular devices in the testing room).  Students may bring a water bottle.  Drop students off by the flagpole and we will check them in at the lobby.

    ACTUAL TEST SCHEDULE:

*Note that the end time is different each day.

**Students will not have their regular Math Class on Math testing days nor their regular Language Arts class on their ELA testing days.

***We know there are 3 track meets during the testing weeks.  We will work with coaches and parents to make it work with the least amount of conflicts.
