Mrs. Barnes is the instructional coach at Summit Elementay.

As our Instructional Coach, Mrs. Barnes works with our teachers and staff, providing guidance, training, and other resources as needed. Together, they focus on practical strategies for engaging students and improving their learning.

Mrs. Barnes grew up not far from Bloomington and studied at Indiana University for her Undergraduate and Master's degrees. (Go Hoosiers!) She has been at Summit Elementary since 2011 and looks forward to working with teachers and students in her new role. Outside of school, Mrs. Barnes enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, as well as her extended family and friends. She loves reading, traveling, and cooking.
