Bradford Woods The Bradford Woods Outdoor Education Program is a planned curriculum in which fifth grade children are given the opportunity to spend three days and two nights in a school setting away from home.

Due to the hard work of the Sycamore Land Trust and Bloomington Parks and Recreation, grants have been secured for MCCSC 4th and 6th grade students to continue with this environmental education program.The sixth grade study trip will be hands-on with a curriculum that follows the sixth grade science standards. Leonard Spring Park is a unique setting full of all types of “environmental laboratories”. The students will be studying water quality, karst topography, soil composition, and forest and wetland ecosystems.
The fourth grade students will have a different format than the LSND study trip but will be following the program curriculum and following the fourth grade science standards.
