Do you want to use more technology in your classroom?
Would you like to begin, but aren't sure where to look?
How do teachers find telecommunications projects?
Beverly Hunter posted a query to Kidsphere, COSN, and NII-
Teach to find the answer to that question. Using listservs and discussion
groups is one way to begin your cyber-adventure.
Telecommunications projects can vary. Before deciding on what type of
telecom project you want to do, you must be clear about why you are
conducting the project and how it ties in to your curriculum.
Judi Harris identifies a telecom taxonomy in her "Mining the
Internet" Series ( The Computer Teacher. Sept. 1993-June 1994).
The following taxonomy may help you define what type of project you want
your students to participate in.
