English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are offered free to adults from other countries who are at least 18 years old and want to gain valuable life skills while living in Bloomington, Indiana. Family members of IU students, immigrants, refugees, and foreign-born spouses of Americans are eligible to attend the classes. Grades are not given. Visas are not issued. Classes use group instruction. The ELLIS Lab has 15 computer stations offering the best English Language Instruction software in the world. Citizenship skills are also offered by teachers and tutors. NOT OPEN TO INDIANA UNIVERSITY STUDENTS. |
