If you are an adult and new to the world of computers, these classes are for you. Here you can learn all the most basic skills of using a PC -- at home, at the office, at school. In these three-week sessions, the classes are small, giving students time to learn at their own pace. Parking is free and the curriculum is specially geared to handle the needs of the beginning adult learner, at a cost that makes our computer classes the best deal in Bloomington for the money!

Spring Session 1: January 14 - February 4
Keyboarding - Essential for anyone new to the world of Personal Computers (PCs), this class will focus on touch-typing and using the mouse. If you’re “scared” of computers, this is the place to start.

Microsoft Excel - Learn the basics of working with a spreadsheet. This class will teach you to enter data into cells, use basic formulas, format column widths and row heights, sort information, and create graphs.

Spring Session 2: February 11 - March 3
Introduction to Computers - The focus here is on computer vocabulary and making students comfortable with basic hardware and software.

Microsoft Access - Learn the basic information necessary to set up and manipulate a database with MS Access. In this class you will explore tables, queries, forms, and reports -- all tools that make it easy to work with your information to make it more useful.

Spring Session 3: March 31 - April 17
Microsoft Word - MS Word is one of the most popular software programs in the world. This course will take you through its most basic functions for creating frustration-free documents.

Spring Session 5: May 5 - 21
Internet/E-mail - Designed for the novice with no Internet experience, this class will teach you to navigate with the toolbar, use search engines, and bookmark favorite sites. It also covers e-mail systems, including how to create and use an address book, reply to messages, send messages to multiple people, attach files, and troubleshoot problems.
