Who was Martin Luther King Jr.?

 What did he do?

 

Dr. Martin Luther King was a peaceful man.

He was a great leader, and he loved his enemies but hated the things they did.

 

King was a husband and a father.  He was married to Coretta Scott King and they had four children, Yolanda, Martin Jr., Dexter, and Bernice.  King was a Christian preacher in Atlanta, Georgia.

 

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. gave his famous “I Have a Dream” speech in 1963.  King said, “Hate can’t drive out hate, only love can do that.”  King won the Noble Peace Prize around the time of his speech.
