The
Fifteen years after Dr. King’s
death President Ronald Reagan signed a bill into law making the third Monday of
January a national holiday celebrating the birth and life of Dr. Martin Luther
King Jr. Dr. King is a respected man, so
we choose to celebrate his good doings by
giving him a well known holiday; his birthday. There are so many reasons
why we celebrate Dr. King’s birthday. It
would be impossible to name them all, but we want to name a few of these
glorious reasons. People, worldwide celebrate MLK’s birthday as a holiday such
as children that go to school, federal offices, post offices, and banks all
across
