Resource Classroom Management Plan

1. Attendance: See BHSS Student handbook. Make sure that you understand the difference between excused and unexcused absences.

2. Grading Scale Averages will be calculated for each 6- week grading period and grades will be assigned according to the percentages listed in the BHSS Student handbook.

Points will be given daily using the following scales.
 
Daily Assignments (15 points per day)
On task entire period (60 minutes) 11-15 points per day
On task 2/3 of period (40+ minutes) 6-10 points per day
On task 1/3 of period (20+ minutes) 1-5 points per day.
Off task entire period 0 points per day

Planner (5 points per day)
Completed planner 5 points per day.
Partially completed 3 points per day
Planner - no entries 1 point per day

3. Procedures: In Resource, students will:

Be on time.
Bring assignments, materials and supplies.
Use assignment book (planners) to record and prioritize assignments.
Treat everyone with respect.
Assume personal responsibility (make no excuses, place no blame, get along with others).
Do not eat, drink or chew gum in the classroom.
Do not disturb other students while they are working. Use a quiet voice if talking is necessary.

Passes to the library are limited. No passes will be given to students who are not passing all classes.
Permission to use the computer and printer must be given by the teacher. No games, e-mail, or surfing. Computers are for assignments only.
Complete skill-building activities as assigned by teacher.
Work in cooperative groups with teacher permission.

4. Other
The purpose of the resource room is to provide the opportunity for all students to receive the support they need to be successful in his/her high school program. In resource, students will receive help with their schoolwork and participate in skill-building activities
