About Mrs. Myers

I was born and raised in a small town called Worthington, Indiana.  I attended White River Valley High School and graduated in 2002.  After high school, I attended Ball State University where I was on my way to a degree in accounting.  My junior year I decided that my passion in life was to teach and changed my major, just tacking on one extra semester of college!  I student taught at Highland High School in Anderson, Indiana and finally graduated in December of 2006.

After college I took a maternity leave position at Riverton Parke Jr./Sr. High school in Montezuma, Indiana.  I was fortunate enough to receive a job at Tri-North Middle School after completing my teaching at Riverton Parke, and have been enjoying myself here ever since!

On August 4, 2007 I married my husband, Nate Myers.  He is an employee of Cook Urological in Spencer, Indiana.  We have one dog, our German Shorthair named Roxie.  She’s her daddy’s girl as he takes her hunting and fishing, and we spoil her rotten!

I am a big sports fan!  On fall weekends you will often find me at IU football games on Saturdays and parked on the couch on Sundays cheering on the Indianapolis Colts.  I am a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan and a strong supporter of IU basketball.

I love to read.  I love the Harry Potter series and have read several of the books more than once.  I am currently reading the Twilight series and really enjoy it as well.
