BLUE TEAM

INFORMATION SHEET

2010 – 2011

The Blue Team teachers would like to take this opportunity to welcome back our returning 8th graders as well as greet our new students, both in 7th and 8th grade. We are confident that you will find this to be a rewarding and enjoyable year!

To make the start of a new school year flow smoothly, we shall cover a few general points in this letter. We know this can be an overwhelming time, with seven different teachers, a nice, thick handbook, locker combinations, and other bits of important information to absorb.  Most of what is contained here is also covered elsewhere or is simply common sense!

Classroom Rules:

We believe that consistency is a key aspect in helping to sustain a positive atmosphere in the classroom. While each teacher has his/her own tolerance level, these rules will be enforced in each of the Blue Team classrooms:

1.     Respect your classmates, teacher, and yourself.

2.     Come to class prepared. Have materials with you and homework done.

3.     Come to class on time and be in your seat when the class begins.

4.     Follow the rules of the school.

5.     Follow directions the first time.

Breaking one or more of these rules may result in the following consequences:

          Verbal warning

          Name on board

          Lunch detention

          Call to parents

          Referral to counselor

          Referral to assistant principal

Dangerous or threatening misbehavior will result in more immediate and serious consequences.
