- Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a
day of helping your community by doing things like:
- You can do odd-jobs around your community, to make it look better and
more inviting.
- You can volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, and build houses for the
homeless.

- Martin’s most famous speech is
the “I Have a Dream Speech.” In this speech he explains that he dreams
that one day all people of all races will be able to live in peace
together, that one day freedom will ring from every mountaintop and
hillside, that his children, and his children’s children, will be judged
by their character, not by the color of their skin.
