- You can join volunteer organizations such as the
Lions Club. They are a non-profit organization
that helps the poor, the hungry, the blind, and
other people in need. When Hurricane Katrina
victims lost their eyeglasses to the water, Lions
Club members helped out hundreds of people by
collecting and donating glasses to those who
needed them.
- Lend a helping hand. Something as simple as
helping carry groceries for someone who needs
help can mean a lot to that person. You can also
mow lawns, shovel snow, or get the mail for
someone. It does not take that much time out of
the day, and you'll feel good afterwards knowing
that you helped someone.
