it difficult to know if the witnesses are relatives of her or him.  However, Per Nilsson may be Hanna's brother.

Hanna moved back to her parents house in 1824 when she gave birth to her first daughter Johanna.

Hanna and Johanna  lived with Hanna's parents,  Nils Persson and Lucia (Lusse) Olsdotter.

On 2 July 1826, Johanna died.  In 1828, Maria was born.  In 1830, Hanna moved out of her parent's

house leaving her daughter Maria to be raised by her parents.

Maria  received her Church letter (flyttningsbetyg or permission to travel) on September 21, 1891.

At the age of 63, Maria emigrated to the United States.

In this country,  Marie Möllergren lived with her daughter Johanna Marie for a number of years

and even after Johanna's marriage to Alfons Bonde in 1898 in Chicago.  The 1900 federal  census,

shows Maria living with her daughter Johanna and son in law Alfons. Her age is given as 72, and

confirms that she was born in September of 1828.  It also says that she could neither read,

write nor speak English. Her year of emigration is 1892 and she never became a citizen.

The census states that she is the mother of one living child.  However, she was the mother

of nine children, seven living.

In 1906, Maria went to live with her oldest daughter Ida (Ingrid) Mollergren Nelson and her

family at their home in Onida, South Dakota.  Maria lived with her daughter  Ida until her death

on 18 Jun 1921.  Maria's granddaughter Adele provided the information for her death certificate

as Ida was sick and died a few weeks after her mother. Maria was 93 years old when she died.

A copy of the handwriting signature of Marie Möllergren is among records in the National Archives

in Washington, D.C. This was seen among papers supporting the application for a Civil War Pension

of Ben Nelson, the husband of her daughter Ida (Ingrid)  Möllergren.  According to Harriet

Johnson Harris  Marie Möllergren was a tiny, little lady.
