The scholarships listed below are generally available to senior level students. If the scholarship is open to other grade levels, it will be indicated under the "Criteria" category.   • Seniors graduating from Bloomington High School North and Bloomington High School South are eligible to apply.  A $2,000 scholarship is available to a student from each school in May, 2010.
  • Successful applicants should have satisfied all requirements for graduation from their respective high schools and be in good academic standing with a minimum grade point of 3.0.

o       Applicants must plan to pursue a major in math or math education and exhibit a passion for math.  Priority will be given to students who plan to teach after receiving a diploma.

o       Financial need will be considered when applications are evaluated.

o       Eligible expenses for the scholarship include tuition, fees, and textbooks at an accredited 4 year institution of higher education.

To be awarded to a senior, male student participating in athletics.  The recipient should have the highest cumulative rating in academic scholarship, in athletic ability, in sportsmanship, and in school citizenship.  The candidate is to be nominated by the director of athletics, the dean of students, and the school’s scholarship committee.  In reviewing the original scholarship documents, the donor asked that potential recipients be rated on a scale of 1 to 5 for each of the above listed criteria.
