Prizes awarded in three age groups (elementary, middle, and high school). Use your Web design skills to answer the question:  If Martin Luther King were alive today, what advice would he give to President Barack Obama?” Judging will be based on relevance to theme, quality

and cohesiveness of the web design, writing, use of

graphics, organization, and ease of navigation.

You may use text, graphics, art, audio, and video in your

Web design.  Indiana University’s School of Informatics and Computing graduate students will serve as judges.

Criteria:

Open to grades 9 – 12, entries can include either fiction writing or creative nonfiction writing. There is no rigid model. The student who demonstrates ability and potential through such activities as community service, exemplary school citizenship and school attendance will be considered. S.A.T. scores and students’ G.P.A. will be evaluated. An attendance rate of 95% or better during high school years will be a factor. At the same time, consideration will be given for financial need as well as to the individual who is the first in his or her family to attend college. In addition to the scholarship recipients, two alternates will be selected as well. The Scholarship Selection Committee reserves the right to seek additional applicants.
