Language Arts

In Language Arts, Mr. Keefer's classes performed several assignments with the theme of the Olympics. Students were asked to read a biography/ autobiography in which the subject could be an Olympic athlete. Students were then asked to write about this individual and the individual's accomplishments. For extra credit, they completed the following word searches (summer and winter) and worksheets on reading comprehension (and questions).

Ms. Zock's class listened to the library media specialist's, Mrs. McGlaun, booktalk and then chose a biography or autobiography about an Olympic athlete. From the books that were purchased with this grant, students were able to read about both contemporary and historical athletes.
