Where to Go...

If you were going on a trip to Argentina, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, or Ecuador.. where would you go, when would you go, what would you see?

Before going anywhere, you need to know some simple facts about your country.

1. When would be a good time to visit your country? Why at this time?

2. What kind of vaccinations do you need before you go? Are there any diseases that you should be aware of when you visit?

3. Is it safe to drink the water? What should you do about the altitude or insects?

4. How safe is your country compared to the United States? What are some things you can do to protect yourself while you are traveling?

5. You will need to spend some money. What is the money called? What denominations do banknotes/ bills and coins come in?

6. What will you need to enter into your country if you are visiting for only one week?

You will need to plan what you are going to see in your country.

7. Choose four places or activities that you would like to go or do while you are visiting your country. Make sure you explain why you chose these places.

8. You decide to visit a national park in your country. Select one of the national parks to visit. Describe what you might see at this park (i.e. animals, plants) and explain where this park is located in your country.

9. You can't visit your country without going to a museum. Decide which museum you would go to and explain why you chose this museum.

You are now on your way. You will now need to get settled in your country.

10. What are the three ways to travel around in your country? Which one would would be the best choice to use? Describe why you chose this method of transportation.

11. Many of the buildings you see in your country are unique to that country. Describe some of the architecture from your country.

12. Describe a traditional meal you might have on your trip. Explain why you would choose these particular dishes.

13. You decide to either listen to some traditional music or participate in some traditional dancing. Describe the differences between two and explain why this would be the music or dance you would participate in.

14. At an art museum, you find some interesting art by artists of your country. Name one artist and describe one piece of art for which the artist is famous. Also include information about his style of art.

15. Write a half a page about something unique about your country. The following are only suggestions.
