Executive Orders
With
the President, Congress, the Cabinet, the Joint Chiefs and the Supreme
Court dead, the crushing responsibility of running the entire United States
falls on John Patrick Ryan. In this novel, Jack Ryan must run all
three branches of the
government simultaneously while dealing with the crises that are literally
plaguing the nation; Ebola has finally appeared in the United States of
America. Many eyes are on President Ryan now, and some of them are
hostile. In Beijing, Tehran, and even Washington DC, those who bear
deep animosity towards the U.S., and even towards the new President himself,
are looking for ways to take advantage of America turmoil and catch her
unprepared.
Executive Orders picks up the story line only minutes after Debt of Honor’s
shocking conclusion which leaves Ryan in control. This 874 page novel
is Clancy's largest, and for proficient readers only. DO NOT read
this book until you have read the eight preceding novels. Readers
who love strategy, enjoy action and comprehend politics will be enthralled
by this masterpiece, and for those who don't know much about the previously
mentioned topics will definitely learn about them by reading any of Tom
Clancy's books.
