MR INMAN: BEHAVIOR PLAN
CLASSROOM RULES
Students will: 1. arrive to class on time 2. arrive with their materials 3. treat other students and the teacher with respect 4. be attentive when someone else is talking 5. always follow instructions and directions 6. do their best at all times
*Failure to follow classroom and school rules could result in any of the following; removal from certain activities; lunch detention; parental contact; parent/teacher conference; referral to the office.
CURRICULUM
The main area of study for seventh graders will be in Life Science and eighth graders will be involved in Physical Science. Both grade levels will be involved in not only "class work" but will take part in many hands on activities such as labs, demonstrations and group activities.
HOMEWORK
Home work will be assigned on the average of two to three times per week. All homework will be graded. All papers (homework, notes, worksheets, labs, quizes and demonstrations) must be kept and corrected for the "bundle" assignment at test time. Late homework, when accepted, will score at most 50% of it's original value. It is the responsibility of the student to determine what makeup work needs to be done due to an absence. This can most often be done by calling Mr. Inman's extension # listed below. It is the responsibility of the student to check with Mr. Inman about what work needs to be done before an absence if the absence is planned.
GRADES
Grades will be based upon a percentage of the total points earned in the following areas: tests; quizes; labs; homework; demonstrations; bundle assignments; and class projects. Students are required to keep track of their own grade. ( A sheet will be provided for this purpose.) Students therefore will always know their grade in this class. * Extra credit will be available in some cases.
MATERIALS
The following materials are required for this class and need to be brought to class daily: 1. textbook 2. paper 3. ink pen (no red) 4. pencil 5. folder

MR. INMAN: BACKGROUND INFORMATION
This is my 27th year of teaching in the MCCSC. I taught 7 years at Unionville Middle School and 16 years at Tr-North Middle School before coming to Jackson Creek. I have twice graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Science in Physical Education. I have lived in Monroe County all of my life. I am married and have three children. My son Glen and my daughter Jamie attend Indiana University, and my son Jason attends Purdue University. Irene, my wife, also works at Jackson Creek.
I enjoy teaching. I strive to make my classroom a pleasant place to be. It is easier to learn if you enjoy being in the environment. I expect students to give 100% in my classroom. Students will learn to organize themselves, problem solve, explore, examine and to work with others. Students should find my classroom an enjoyable one and that good grades are attainable for those who are willing to work hard.
