Reviewed themes for resumes.
Discussed the importance of conducting quarterly counseling with employees highlighting job descriptions and responsibilities, strengths and areas that need improvement. When it comes to improvement utilize the "We" instead "You" pronoun. Also discussed that goal is to utilize these quarterly sessions as professional development so the employee has an opportunity to overcome all weak areas so the summative evaluation highlights mainly strengths. Too many managers are surprising their employees with a summative evaluation and never assisting them in overcoming their weaknesses. Managers DO NOT have to search for something negative to place on a summative evaluation, doing so defeats the purpose. |
