Gail Carson Levine
Biographical Information
Gail was born on September 17, 1947, in New York. She grew up in New York. Her parents are David and Sylvia Carson. She has an older sister, Rani. She went to the college at City University of New York, B.A., 1969. She married David Levine on September 2, 1967. She started writing early in elementary school.
Writing Information
Authors Style and Lietrary Devices
Gail has always had this question about the, The Shoemaker and the Elves. The question was, " Why did the elves abandoned the shoemaker?" Gail helped people find work and now they are doing better than they would if she hadn’t of helped them. She also took a writing class called, Earnest for Children’s Books. She figured out that she liked writing better than she liked illustrating.
Critical Comments
At this point I have not read any of Gail’s books, but when I do I will make some comments.
