Can Be Found: Coastal waters of California
Eats: Octopuses, sqiud, fish, crustacences, polluck, flounder, and herring
Breeding: Born mainly one pup at a time, during the months of May or June
Why It's Endangered: Increased human activity around the shores of the Northern Pacific
What's Being Done To Save It: raising money by websites, and the government is protecting wilderness areas
How many that are left: In 1980 the population was 300,000 and has know dropped to somewhere in the neighborhood of 100,000
