Persuassive Essay

The jaguar is a beautiful animal and should be protected by everyone. They are spotted brown cats that run like the wind and are very good predators. There are only eight subspecies left, all of which are threatened. The lifespan of a jaguar is 22 years, but some don't even make it halfway there.

Their kingdom is Animalia, their class is Mammalia, their family is Felidae, their Genus is Panthera, their species is Onca, and they are in the Parent Taxa.

The jaguars are overhunted for their fur. Yes, they have beautiful skin but that is theirs and people shouldn't kill them for it. Most jaguars are extinct, except for those in zoos, but since there aren't very many left, it is hard to find many. There are many actions being taken right now to improve the lives of the jaguars, like the new park in Mexico, but we still need YOUR help.

Jaguars need to have a reliable amount of water, grass, and lots of rocks, for either hiding or hunting. When people come to hunt down they have to have a place that they can hide. Because of all of the forests being chopped down, the jaguars homes and food are quickly deminishing.

I wish that people would think about what they are doing to the environment before they hunt down the jaguars. There is only a couple thousands left and the more we kill them, the more we are hurting our selves. They eat what there is too much of, if we kill them then there are to many animals left that there will be too much of.
