Babylon Translation: Dictionaries and Glossaries: This online database contains several dictionaries and glossaries for various subject matters and languages.

Electric Library Periodical Database: This online subscription database searches magazines, newspapers, radio and television transcripts, books, encyclopedias, and photos. Use the USERNAME and PASSWORD that was given to the school. You can get this from the school library.

Encarta Online Encyclopedia: A complete online version of the encyclopedia, also provides links to selected Internet sites

Gale's Junior Reference Collection: This online subscription database searches biographical, author, multicultural, science, and geographical information. Use the password that was given to the school.

Information Please Almanac : Searchable database covering multitudes of topics, including the world, the US, history and government, biography, sports, entertainment, business and finance, society and culture, health and science, and weather.

Inspire Periodical Database: Indiana Spectrum of Information Resources

Webster's Dictionary: The Merriam-Webster has both their dictionary and their thesaurus.

Roget's Thesaurus: Searchable version of the online thesaurus, with capability of browsing by Roget's categories.

Background Notes: From the U.S. Department of State, Background Notes provide information on geographic entities and international organizations and are updated periodically.

John Bartlett's Familiar Quotations: A collection of passages, phrases, and proverbs traced to their sources in ancient and modern literature.

Biography Links: A collection of links to biographical references and author references.

CIA World Fact Book: A brief guide to the economy, government, land, demographics, communications, and national defense establishments of over 250 countries, territories, etc.

Elements of Style: Full text of the 1918 first edition of this classic

French Dictionary : University of Chicago&rsquos ARTFL project: French- English Dictionary Form

Occupational Employment Statistics: Published by the U.S. Dept. of Labor, the Occupational Outlook Handbook describes what workers do on the job, working conditions, the training and education needed, earnings, and expected job prospects for a wide range of occupations.

Read Print: Full text of various books. Search by author or title.

Spanish Dictionary: Search for word translations between English and Spanish.

Stately Knowledge: Besides the capitals of the fifty states, also includes other information such as state song, map, flag, constitution, famous people, etc.
