American Heroes:
Frank Lloyd Wright

In today's world, the words Frank Lloyd Wright and Architecture are almost synonymous.
In today's world, the words Martin Luther King, Jr. and Civil Rights are synonymous.
Frank Lloyd Wright did for Architecture what Martin Luther King, Jr. did for African Americans. Frank opened the field of architecture to new ideas of viewing form and function. King opened the minds of individuals to dream of a nation without racial barriers or limitations.
Both individuals are great American heroes because they worked to create a better United States. They both dreamed of a nation where one's mind and creativity can be free to imagine beyond the walls of conformity.
